The newest one is located at Marsfield, NSW. Christian Mueller-Tomfelde is leading the research program to investigate new and effective uses for OptIPortals.

Marsfield OptIPortal Construction

This OptIPortal comprises 25 high definition screens and can display an overall image size of over 100 Megapixels. This will be used as part of our ongoing collaboration with the Australia Telescope National Facility and the Optiputer project.

The project team also constructed the CSIROVision OptIPortal in the Discovery Centre in Canberra launched in December 2008. At this time high resolution images of the human brain showing a combination of advanced visualisation techniques in PET and MRI scanning were combined to form images over 3m x 3m in size!
